“WHAT A WAY TO GET WED” – JANUARY 2014 REVIEW

What an amazing way to arrive for a wedding….by air. Definitely creates a stir and chatter amongst onlookers as they see a seaplane glide onto the water and gracefully stop just short of the beach. Having married a couple from London only a few weeks ago….it was the first wedding on Waiheke island where the couple arrived by seaplane …..I thought this was definitely going to create a stir amongst my married couples-to-be and something I needed to test drive.

Only one word can describe it: “breathtaking”. From woe to go the views from Auckland to Waiheke are just amazing and you get to see the island in its full glory. Auckland seaplane, owned by Chris Sattler and pilot Steve Newland, make the trip even more enjoyable with his knowledgable in-flight commentary and skillful manoeuvring.

The only downside is that it is over so quickly (15 minutes) and that they can only fly on a calm sea day which restricts them to areas they can go. The most popular landing points on the island are Man O’war, Onetangi and Oneroa. However if you ask Steve I reckon he will try his hardest to make it happen for you.

So just ask me about this service and I can get you in touch with Auckland Seaplane or check out their website on: http://www.aucklandseaplane.co.nz/ and you too can arrive to your special day in style.
